CENTRALISED SECURITY IN THE BANKING SECTOR

The customer is the head office of a banking network in southern Germany with 1,700 employees in over 60 branches and 10 self-service locations.

THE CHALLANGE

The customer wants a clear tightening of video security measures and a central overview of all 70 locations.

To this end, the outdated video management system is to be comprehensively modernised, expanded and networked.

The centralised surveillance of images from all branch offices will take place at the head office - with the option to transfer the back-up surveillance to another branch.

THE REQUIREMENT

The existing video management system is to be modernised.
All branches and self-service centres must be linked to the security control centre in the head office, which requires technological changes in almost all server rooms.

The new emergency buttons in all branches will be integrated into the VMS, the existing system requires an upgrade to Windows 10.

It is necessary that the personal rights of employees, customers and passers-by are respected at all times.

THE GEUTEBRÜCK INDIVIDUAL SOLUTION

  • After thorough evaluation and planning by the Geutebrück team, the new and existing Video Management System (VMS, FI compatible) has been upgraded to a high-performance, fail-safe digital infrastructure within four months.
  • All branches have been connected.
  • A second, back-up control centre has been implemented in a branch 38 km away.
  • The integration of the various third-party systems (including access control in the high security area, an alarm system with emergency button, ATM interface integration) and the existing IP cameras took place without any problems.
  • For safety reasons, the VMS has been relocated to the server room in some branches.
  • The setting of parameters and commissioning were carried out by Geutebrück.
  • Bank security personnel have been extensively trained by Geutebrück. In future, smaller learning units, e.g. for upgrades and new functions, will take place via e-learning through the Geutebrück Academy.
  • The comprehensive solution meets all requirements of the GDPR.
